RequirementsGeneral requirementsAll you need to use LSC is a Java 1.5 virtual machine (JRE). Download latest JRE from Sun or install one packaged with your distribution. Production servers running regularly scheduled synchronizations will also need cron, or another other task scheduler. Setting up your environmentJava
$ export JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.5.0-sun Operating SystemLSC is written in Java, and as such should run on any system with a JVM. However, some shell scripts are used to launch the Java application. At this time, the shell scripts require bash to run (see bug #180) This means that on Windows you must run LSC in Cygwin for now (or try the BAT script from bug #180). LSC has been successfully tested and used on various recent versions of Linux, MacOS X and Windows (with Cygwin). |
